Milano Art Week 26

The time has come to take stock and draw conclusions from Milan Art Week, which has grown thanks to the 31 editions of MIART, involving the city in over 500 events/exhibitions.
As with Milan Design Week, here too we have an official salon, museums and galleries as well as another independent salon for which a building under renovation has been occupied and the independent collective exhibition “Paris Internationale” created inside it.

Rather than the historic galleries, those emblematic for the proposals of sure names and those whose work proposes the research of new languages, what attracted our attention was the Emergent section on the 1st floor of MIART, of which we present our selection with the most representative works. The same approach applies to “Paris Internationale”, at the Ropac gallery Duchamp and Thaddeus (one of his brilliant contemporary).

At the ICA Foundation three different exhibitions: “Dancing at the Edge of the world” Pomodoro Prize for sculpture VIII edition, “The second shadow. Dozie Kanu Mirroring Marc Camille Chaimowicz, with shared echoes and Kindred Spirits” and Giovann Stefano Ghidini “52 Ludlow”.
In MIART in the Emergent section, material is the common element among the works presented, foundation of expression, even when the authors intertwine within the same work as in the works of Valentina Cameranesi and Camille Vivier.

Another theme that we also find in many works exhibited at Paris Internationale is the blurred boundary with design,a frontier that both designers and artists crossing make liquid, the other element that permeates the works is the reference to the body.
